Bike Insurance - Why it's Important?
A Two-wheeler insurance plan is a mandatory requirement for all Two-wheelers which are registered in India. Bike insurance plans come with a specified tenure of one, two or three years. After the term is over, renewal is required.You can buy a bike insurance policy either through an insurance intermediary or through the online mode.
Mandated Rule
Basic third party liability coverage is mandated by the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 wherein the
cover would pay any financial liability which the bike owner faces if he/she causes physical injury or
death to any third party or damages to third party property.

If the traffic authorities catch the bike owner without a valid insurance
policy, fines and penalties would accrue. The bike owner would not only have to pay huge fines,
there might be further legal complications which might result in imprisonment.
